Getting a strong start in Playback Theatre means taking enough time to immerse yourself in the rich atmosphere and dynamics of the Playback experience. In this two-day intensive, you’ll learn the basics with lots of opportunities to practice. The fundamental Playback forms will be taught like fluid sculptures,3 part stories and 4 elements. Each student will have a chance to try the roles of conductor and musician as well as actor. Everyone will tell and enact stories together, in the spirit of fun and fellowship.

Designed for new and relatively new students.

In two weeks you will debut as PlayBack actors creating your own performance

一人一故事形式
1.一人一故事历史和背景，一人一故事剧场舞台场景布置

3.表演形式：流动塑像（情绪聆听挖掘放大）
4.表演形式：三段故事，四元素（讲故事法，抽象与具象演绎交接，情绪道具的应用）

即兴戏剧的练习、游戏、技巧及演出形式有上千种，还有更多正陆续被研发。包括：解放天性、情绪释放、音乐感受、想象和创造、肢体表达、面具训练、角色塑造、剧本创作、即兴反应、接纳、信任、聆听、喜感等。
一剧场帮助学员从中解构、重构生活中的冲突、关系；还可以让我们重组故事、了解历史，并激发我们丰富的想象力，创造未来。

Improvisation

Acting though your physicality, emotion, sound improvisation
1. Physicality: position in a space, improvisation and cooperation with co-actors, expressing emotion thought your body
2. Voice and emotion: depth, volume, expression and rhythm
3. Storytelling training: listening and improvisation skills, concentration, reaction, perception, memorizing 
4. Atmospheric performance and building space of stage
5. Props and the application of performance

PlayBack basic
1. History and background of PlayBack story, stage set-up

2. Actors, navigators, musicians, lighting engineer's tacit understanding establishment, duties and necessary skills
3. Short form: fluid sculpture (emotional listening, parts of the story, levels and amplification)
4.   Long forms: three-part stories, four elements (storytelling method, abstract and figurative interpretation, application of emotional props)

There are plenty of improvisational theater exercises, games, techniques and performance forms. Including emotional release, musical feeling, imagination and creativity, physical expression, mask training, character building, improvisational response, acceptance, trust, listening, and joy.
PlayBack theater helps participants deconstruct and reconstruct conflicts and relationships; it also allows us to restructure stories, understand history, and stimulate our imagination to create the future.

International improvisation star actor in Wuzhen, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Manila, Kyoto, etc. He has 10 years of experience in over 500 improvisation workshops and group building in China and UK, has incubated many improvisation teams.

Chris has been living in China since 2009, after graduating from a German university. He is fluent in German, English and Mandarin and has a background in finance, music and linguistics. He has been working in the field of e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce for consumer electronics. He has worked for brands such as Anker, TCL and DJI.

In addition, improvisational theater training is another major focus of his life. He started improvising in Beijing in 2012 and is a veteran of improvisation in China. While living in Changsha, he founded the Changsha Improv Culture and mastered the art of improv training by doing hundreds of workshops, salons and lectures on performance. After moving to Shenzhen, he started his own company YOU Mean Improv, which focuses on comedy improvisation and repertory theater for applied improv training.

He has been playing piano since five years old, he enjoys incorporating live music into his theatrical performances, adding another creative dimension to an already complex art. He has been trained in how improvisation and the arts can help him find a balance between the corporate and artist mentality.

什么是一人一故事剧场？

一人一故事剧场((Play Back Theater，简称 PBT)是一种即兴剧场表演。任何人都可以成为"演员"并以这种剧场形式去服务他人。

真实的人生故事

远比剧本精彩

1975年，美国人Jonathan Fox 及Jo Salas等创立了一人一故事剧场（Playback Theatre）。

在这个剧场里面，演员运用形体动作、音乐、或戏剧的形式演绎观众所分享的故事，把抽象的情感和回忆具体化，以艺术的形式作为礼物送给故事分享者。也让观众们在这个过程中共同见证和体验，从而建立一个平等开放的对话空间。

在一场演出里，观众会欣赏到不同人士的故事被演绎，故事与故事之间往往存在着一种仿似互相对话的微妙关系。观众与表演者之间的互动尤为重要，普通人也可以成为“演员”，演绎自己的身边事。

一人一故事剧场是一个温暖而奇妙的舞台，能够在短短的2小时里面，为本来互不相识的普通人创造一个特别的缘分：相遇、相识、共同学习、分享彼此的人生故事，共创一段共同的生命故事。

Playback Theatre | 一人一故事

Playback Theatre is created through a unique collaboration between performers and audience. Someone tells a story or moment from their life, chooses actors to play the different roles, and then watches as their story is immediately recreated and given artistic shape and coherence.

Building community through personal stories - Playback Theatre creates a ritual space where any story - however ordinary, extraordinary, hidden or difficult - might be told, and immediately made into theatre. And where each person's uniqueness is honoured and affirmed while at the same time building and strengthening our connections to each other as a community of people.

Origins - The original Playback Theatre Company came together in 1975, with Jonathan Fox as its director. This was in the mid-Hudson valley of upstate New York and part of the experimental theatre explorations of the 1970s - looking for ways of reaching out to its audience, bringing theatre closer to everyday reality, and breaking away from the tradition of scripted theatre. Since then, Playback Theatre has spread across the world with companies and practitioners in many, many countries. It thrives in a variety of settings, existing as community theatre gatherings as well as a professional service to both the business and social sector.
